OxyContin
Treatment
OxyContin treatment when abused enslaves patients to oxycodone.
The desire for the high that only prescription narcotics,
like OxyContin treatment, can bring has transformed many
painkillers into drugs of illicit choice for patients worldwide.
Their dependency only increases unless they undergo an
OxyContin detoxification.
“You can't imagine what it is like to be enslaved to oxycodone,” says
OxyContin detox patient Susie, “the fear and loneliness
you live with every day. I really believed I was going
to die. You gave me the courage to live again.”
An OxyContin treatment intended for pain management drove
Susie to a prescription dependency. Many patients start
on opiate medication with legitimate reasons:
- to manage pain,
- to treat emotional disorders,
- to manage misdiagnosed depression, anxiety or emotional
trauma.
Other seeks narcotic pain relievers and OxyContin treatment
to enjoy recreational elation or euphoria in non-medical
use. (see chart) (i)

Without detox, dependency on OxyContin treatment may soon
take over and becomes an addiction. Patients like Suzie
believe they are going to die because the pain from trying
to stop a supply of OxyContin ® on their own triggers
a withdrawal syndrome in the body. At that point patients
come to us seeking medical help for rapid detoxification
from the powerful prescription drug.
The Waismann Method of Rapid
Detoxification Under Anesthesia provides a medical
solution to dependent patients due to OxyContin treatment,
or who experience addiction to opiate medications similar
to OxyContin ®. (ii)
The Waismann Method
proven procedure that is effective for OxyContin treatment
dependency and a wide range of other opiates including:
Codeine, Darvocet ®, Dilaudid ®, Heroin, Hydrocodone, Lorcet ®, Lortab ®, Methadone, MS
Contin ®, Norco ®, Oxycodone, OxyContin ®, Percocet ®, Percodan ®, Stadol ®, Suboxone ® (Buprenorphine ®), Tramadol (Ultram ®), Vicodin ®,
and others.
The Waismann Method maintains its leading position in
treating physical dependency due to non-medical OxyContin
treatment or abuse. We set the standard by which other
treatments are measured. We are committed to changing the
way our world sees drug dependency. It is no longer a hidden
and shameful disease of the stereotypical "drug
addict," but rather a medical malaise caused by a
legitimate chemical imbalance brought on by OxyContin treatment.
The Waismann Method of detoxification under anesthesia
uses the most advanced medical techniques available for
opiate or OxyContin dependency. We treat our patients with
the highest degree of professionalism, dignity and respect.
- The detox procedure takes place in a full
service hospital to provide close patient
monitoring. Patients are admitted the day before
the procedure for a complete medical evaluation. It
is imperative that patients spend 24-48 hours in-patient,
so pre-medication can be properly administered
to stabilize body functions which help to achieve
a smooth and safe procedure.
- Patients are transferred to the intensive care
unit (ICU), where medically induced withdrawal is
controlled and closely monitored by either Dr. Bernstein
or Dr. Lowenstein. Both doctors are Board Certified
anesthesiologists, nationally recognized for their
expertise in the Waismann Method. Upon
awakening, the patient is no longer physically dependent
on opiates and has no conscious awareness of experiencing
the withdrawal process during the procedure.
- Post-procedure, patients are monitored under our
care at our hospital to stabilize their mental and
physical condition. Usually patients are discharged
at least 24-48 hours later, or when authorized by
our physicians.
We are proud to offer our patients the best procedure
medicine has to offer for opiate dependency on prescription
drugs or on OxyContin
treatment.
The major difference between the Waismann Method
and other medical detoxifications is the safety, comfort,
and success of our patients. Every patient has a different
medical and dependency history, so at the Waismann Method
we treat our patients as individuals with specific needs.
Our Optional After-Care and Treatment Center
We have also created an after-care environment that treats
dependencies of all kinds: anxiety, depression, trauma,
loss, and personal crisis. We firmly believe that your
treatment should be based on proven best-practices in a
peaceful environment filled with dignity, respect, and
optimism.
Unique in its approach, Domus

unhealthy repetitions and thinking patterns that, in the
past, have resulted in self-destruction and relapse. Group
work occurs in small, effective and private settings.
These treatment elements are uniquely blended, along
with spa elements, to affect significant and lasting
change, which puts you on the path of sustained recovery!
Domus Retreat provides a private, ultra-luxurious, exclusive
and intimate setting for a maximum of 6 patients at one

The Waismann Method is an effective, safe and
humane answer to the devastating illness of opiate dependency
due to OxyContin treatment.
